With more than 14 years of screen printing experience, our team knows their ink! All of our work is done in house at our facility in Sykesville, Maryland. We pride ourselves in coming through for the smallest orders to walk in our door, to helping large charities in need of thousands of shirts. There are a bunch of really good screen printers out there, what sets us apart is our friendly service and amazing customer support. We've been known to pull a few last minute jobs out of our magic hat! Here's what we can do for you:

Direct To Garment Printing:
Used for smaller runs, this state of the art printing process is new to the Athletic House. Consider this for runs smaller than 24 prints where multiple colors are needed. The process is straight forward, and these printers allow us to put your digital artwork directly on to your apparel.

Traditional Screen Printing:
This service is where most of our customer's ideas come to life. Our standard screen printing service is recommended for customers needing at least 12 imprinted shirts. Our spot color printing process allows customers to choose between 1 to 8 colors to decorate your apparel. Maximum print areas are 15 inches in width by 18 inches in height. Our traditional screen printing service is great for those that want to get their business name out there at an inexpensive price. We recommend our traditional screen printing service for businesses, organizations, and sports teams. Remember though, in this business, the more you order, the less your shirts get.

The plain and simple answer is this is what the process of taking your logo or artwork and turning it into a digital file that our embroidery machine understands. In our opinion, solid digitizing is what ultimately determines how great the finished product will look. All of our embroiderers and graphic artists are trained to know the latest techniques in digitizing.

All of our embroidery is done in house allowing us to get your decorated apparel to you fast. Because the Athletic House embraces the latest techniques in embroidery, we can offer our customers more than just the run of the mill embroidery. For a different look consider a design using appliqué Available in acrylic felt, metallic appliqué, felt and poly twill, these materials can give your team or business that new look you've been seeking.

We can embroider on almost any material and the Athletic House will happily embroider on apparel you bring to us. Always consider the Athletic House before buying your apparel though, many times our pricing on polo shirts, fleece and jackets are considerably cheaper than retail prices at most of the big clothing retailers.

Design:

The Athletic House Art Department can help you take your apparel design to the next level. Unlike many screen printers, our art team is in-house so our designers are available to help you with any questions about your project. From single color to process color jobs, our team knows design.

Have a new business? Our Art Department can develop that marketable logo you're looking for. A company's image is arguably one of the most important decisions you need to make when starting a new company and our art team can make you look great. If you're an existing business looking for enhancement of your existing logo, we can help you there as well.

Of course the Athletic House can print your current logo or team design on apparel or other products. Please read the following information when submitting artwork to the Athletic House. These guidelines will help insure the highest possible print quality. Please note that the Athletic House reserves the right to refuse artwork that violates copyright law or fails to meet our resolution standards. Artwork designed in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Power Point or similar programs fail to meet our resolution standards and will not be accepted under any circumstances. Our art team will be more than happy to take your concept and recreate your design in an acceptable format. Please be aware that art charges may apply depending on the complexity. Images optimized for website viewing are also not acceptable. Simply right clicking on an image from a website and saving it will NOT WORK.

VECTOR ARTWORK is the preferred standard at the Athletic House. Common file extensions for this type of file include .ai, .eps, .cdr and .fla. When submitting these types of files to the Athletic House it is important to convert fonts to curves or create outline for all text used. For a vector art file (i.e. Adobe Illustrator file) with no placed images, resolution is not a concern.

RASTER ARTWORK - Photo Realistic is artwork that incorporates scanned imagery or art that is built in a pixel based program such as Photoshop, Microsoft Photo Draw or Paint Shop Pro. Acceptable files from these types of programs are: .psd, .tif, .jpg or .png. In order to reproduce from RASTER ART, we require a file that has been created with a resolution of 300 dots or pixels per inch and be the same size as the print being placed on the apparel. Importing a file from the Internet and "Res'ing" it up to 300 dpi is NOT ACCEPTABLE and will be rejected by our Art Department.

In-House Design Policies:
All apparel orders with a minimum of 12 pieces placed at the Athletic House include one hour of art time. Complex designs requiring more than one hour of design time will be billed at our standard art rate of $75 per hour. Please note that custom designs such as business logos or refreshes of current logos are not included with this promotion. Customers will be informed at the onset of their order if artwork will require more time than the complimentary hour included with your order. All custom artwork created by the Athletic House is the property of the Athletic House. All custom designs will bear our signature line AthleticHouse.com.
